Kevin Hart has become noticeably more reserved following the recent scrutiny surrounding his close friendship with Diddy, who is currently facing serious allegations. The music mogul, now awaiting trial at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, was arrested last month on charges including sеx trafficking, rackеteering, and transporting individuals for prоstitution.
Hart, a longtime friend of Combs, is now attempting to distance himself as speculation mounts regarding his association with the Bad Boy Records founder.
The situation is also creating challenges for staff at HartBeat, the global media company Kevin Hart founded in 2009. Employees are well aware of a resurfaced video showing Hart at one of Diddy’s notorious parties.
“This issue is the elephant in the room at his company,” a source told DailyMail.com. “Everyone is doing their best to act as though nothing is happening.”
Kevin is feeling uneasy and has remained silent, creating a tense atmosphere.
“Kevin and those close to him, including his staff, are fully aware of his past friendship with Diddy, and there’s video evidence placing him at one of Diddy’s infamous parties,” shared an insider.
Among the controversial content circulating online is a clip from 2010 showing Hart and Diddy at a wild party during the peak of the music mogul’s indulgent lifestyle. One video posted on X shows Hart speaking into a microphone, surrounded by scаntily dressed wоmen in what looks like a dimly lit bathroom at a party. At one point, Hart can be seen laughing as a woman’s hair catches fire while she’s in the bathtub.
The source explained that this is a rare situation where Hart can’t joke his way out of it: “Kevin is usually the one making jokes, but now he’s become the punchline.”
Hart’s social media is flooded with comments about his connection to Diddy and their friendship, adding pressure as he tours for his Acting My Age comedy show.
“There are concerns about how his tour will unfold, as he knows the audience is eager for him to address the situation, but he won’t,” an insider mentioned.
“It’s tough to watch Kevin handle this, especially since he’s usually very talkative, but now he’s become quite reserved.”
Last week, the Borderlands star was questioned about his relationship with Combs while going to dinner with his wife, Eniko Hart, at LAVO restaurant in West Hollywood. As he arrived, a DailyMail.com reporter asked him if he remembered seeing any of the notorious baby oil bottles discovered at Combs’ home during the parties he hosted.
Hart quickly distanced himself from the scandal, responding, “When I hosted for Diddy? You’re asking the wrong person the wrong question.”
