Kevin Hart and his wife Eniko Parrish were spotted shopping at Maxfield in West Hollywood, California, just two months after his car accident, and amidst ongoing developments in his $60 million lawsuit involving sеx tapе partner Montia Sabbag.
The Philadelphia-born comedian sported a navy blue sweater paired with jeans and white and navy sneakers for the cool fall day. He accessorized with a watch and necklace and reportedly tipped the valet $100, according to TMZ. Hart told photographers he planned to take the rest of the year off to focus on his recovery and rehabilitation.
Eniko wore a yellow Gucci sweater featuring a cat’s face and the word ‘Guccy’ across the front, teamed with black leggings and colorful sneakers. The Baltimore native had her hair pulled back, completed her look with dark sunglasses, and carried a designer purse. The couple shares a son, Kenzo, who will soon celebrate his second birthday.
On the legal front, Hart’s attorneys addressed Sabbag’s lawsuit, labeling it as ‘baseless.’ Sabbag alleges Hart collaborated with others to release a sеx tapе they filmed without her knowledge, court documents obtained by The Blast revealed.
Sabbag had requested additional time in the case to submit further paperwork due to positive settlement developments, but Hart’s legal team denied working on any settlement, accusing her of prolonging the lawsuit to avoid the conclusion that her claims lack merit.
In the lawsuit, Sabbag named Hart, the website Fameoulous, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, and Hart’s former associate Jonathan Todd Jackson, alleging they conspired to secretly record her intimate encounter with the comedian without her consent.
Hart was also spotted behind the wheel of an SLS Mercedes-Benz sports car, just over two months after the serious September 1 car accident that led to emergency surgery to fuse three areas of his spine.
Authorities reported that Hart was a passenger in a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda driven by his wife’s personal trainer, Rebecca Broxterman’s fiancé Jared Black, when the car veered off Mulholland Highway and crashed into a ditch in Malibu Hills, California.
Earlier in the week, Hart delivered a heartfelt speech at the People’s Choice Awards in Santa Monica, where he accepted the Comedy Act award for his Netflix special Irresponsible.
“First and foremost, I thank God because I really don’t have to be here, but since I am, it makes me value life even more,” Hart said. “It also makes me appreciate the things that matter most—my family. I want to thank my wife and kids for stepping up for me.”
He also thanked his fans, saying, “You have no idea how much your energy and support mean to us as entertainers. It has meant the world to me, especially during my tough times, and I want to thank you all for being there for me.”
